Park
In his installation “Park”, Frank Balve designs an urban sculpture park underground. Inspired by French baroque gardens, the symmetrically arranged sculptures and objects invite one to saunter and linger. While an actual park would guarantee inner peace and cleansing through the apparent powers of nature, this “Park” is made up of cold, hard materials. In a baroque garden, the sculptures are meant to invoke cheer and joy – here the sculptures and objects create disturbing images within the viewer of the MaximilansForum.
